More evidence of Trump’s HORRIBLE INCOMPETENCE AND MISMANAGEMENT of the pandemic

Trump’s mismanagement of COVID-19 led to more than one million new cases in 15 days in late July 2020.  SEE THIS:

MOST of the Americans who died in the pandemic died BECAUSE OF TRUMP.  See www.TrumpDeathClock.com

A competent estimate in July 2020 was that 87,655 Americans died from COVID-19 because of Trump’s failure to act effectively.

Also, see this:  In January 2020, the Trump administration was advised that immediate action was required to stop the spread of COVID-19. According to NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, “there was a lot of pushback” to this advice. President Trump declined to act until March 16th. Experts estimate that, had mitigation measures been implemented one week earlier, 60% of American COVID-19 deaths would have been avoided.  To read more, see this: https://trumpdeathclock.com/press

In late July 2020 Trump wanted to re-start nationwide TV “briefings” about Coronavirus because the “ratings” would be high.

During a national crisis, presidents go on nationwide TV to share important information, to bring the nation together, and for other valid purposes.  But Trump recently announced that he wants to re-start his televised “briefings” on Coronavirus not for any of those valid reasons, but because he would get good “ratings.”

The crisis is irrelevant.  Trump never told us the truth – only his lies and narcissistic bragging.  Now his only excuse for televising “briefings” again will be to give him good “ratings” as if being a popular TV celebrity to feed his ego.

In July 2020 public health experts again told Trump/Pence to stop overruling them on COVID-19 response.

July 16, 2020, article:  Citing ‘callous regard for human life,’ groups urge Trump and Pence to hand COVID-19 response over to health experts

More than a dozen civil society organizations demanded in an open letter Tuesday that President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence relinquish control over the federal COVID-19 response to public health experts, a move the groups said is necessary to “save lives and restore the economy.”

Trump’s INCREDIBLY STUPID plan to reduce the number of Coronavirus cases:

On Tuesday July 14, 2020, Trump held a press conference where – instead of letting the press ask questions for him to answer – he merely ranted incoherently in a stream-of-consciousness way, sometimes jumbling multiple weird topics together into one long sentence.

Only at the end did he allow an extremely right-wing “news” entity to ask him three questions that he had arranged with them to ask.

He did happen to say how to reduce the number of Coronavirus cases.  Here is his plan:

“If we didn’t do testing — instead of testing over 40 million people, if we did half the testing, we would have half the cases. If we did another — you cut that in half, we would have, yet again, half of that.”

So there you have it.  It’s perfectly OK if people have this horribly communicable disease.  His plan is to SHARPLY REDUCE TESTING, so people will not be able to get a diagnosis.  Without knowing the diagnosis, they will NOT get any medical treatment, but – because they do not know they have the highly communicable disease – they will interact (maskless) with other people, so they will get the disease too.

This Trumpian policy explains partly why the U.S.’s infection rate is skyrocketing, while sensible nations run by competent people (including New Zealand, Rwanda and Vietnam) have effectively controlled it.  Trump has mad the U.S. #1 in disease infections.
