Let’s urge President Biden to take smart actions to reduce nuclear war dangers

Let’s make sure President Biden Sees and understands the crisis of nuclear weapons.  This article suggests how he can keep the world safe from nuclear annihilation.

Here is what President Biden should do about nuclear weapons in his first 100 days:

One of the best informed non-profit organizations working to prevent nuclear war — the Arms Control Association, www.armscontrol.org — conducted an online event about what President Biden should do about nuclear weapons during his first 100 days.  I participated in this and am happy to see that the ACA recorded it and posted it to their website.  You can see the ACA’s report on 100 days for Biden at this link:  https://www.armscontrol.org/reports/2021/nuclear-challenges-new-us-presidential-administration-first-100-days-beyond

You can also read the ACA’s late January report at this link:  Nuclear Challenges for the Biden Administration in the First 100 Days  The ACA’s senior policy staff members diagnose the problems ahead and deliver a pragmatic prescription for action by the new Biden administration.

The Arms Control’s powerfully informative magazine provides much solid information.  For example, the ACA’s January-February 2021 issue urges the Biden Administration to take smart actions:  https://www.armscontrol.org/aca/1928

Biden appointed many horrible war hawks to powerful positions in his administration, and they are giving him terrible advice.  Biden’s own moderates and hardliners are fighting about whether to rejoin the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) that Trump had stupidly pulled out of.

Trump’s extreme belligerence toward Iran provoked Iran’s voters to elect hard-liners.  Biden faces conflict within how own administration about whether to pursue peace or war.  We must educate the public and move Biden toward peace.  See this article:  https://www.juancole.com/2021/01/moderates-hardliners-reviving.html
