Elizabeth Warren’s wealth tax is here! And it’s exactly what we need to start creating jobs and rebuilding our communities ― pulling us out of this pandemic-caused recession.
The Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act ― introduced this week by Senator Warren as well as Representatives Pramila Jayapal and Brendan Boyle ― would place a two-cent tax on every dollar of wealth between $50 million and $1 billion, and a three-cent tax on every dollar of wealth over $1 billion.
It’ll raise $3 trillion over 10 years from the richest 0.05% and allow us to invest in jobs and our future.
