Republicans kill fetuses.

For decades the Republican Party has claimed to be “pro-life.”  However, their actual policies disable and kill fetuses.  Here are some examples:

— Republicans keep trying to take away people’s health care.  In 2017 the Republican-dominated Congress tried several times to take away health care from tens of millions of Americans.  This includes pregnant women and fetuses.  Without adequate pre-natal care, fetuses fail to develop properly, so they result in birth defects, disabilities in newborns, stillbirths, neonatal deaths, and maternal deaths.

— Republicans keep trying to take away food and nutrition from poor, hungry people.  Inadequate nutrition hurts pregnant women and fetuses, with the disabilities and deaths mentioned above.

— Republicans keep stripping away governmental regulations that have been protecting the environment and public health from industrial pollution, agricultural pesticides, household hazards, and so forth.  Those regulations — rather than the burdens that Republicans claim — actually protect human beings (including pregnant women and fetuses) from pollution and diseases.  Republicans’ de-regulation causes cancer and other diseases, including premature deaths for adults, children, and fetuses.

— Republicans keep cutting anti-poverty programs that poor and working class people need for their health and survival, including the health and survival of their fetuses.

— When Republicans cut taxes on extremely rich people and big businesses in early 2018, their legislation shifted taxes onto poor and working class and middle-class people, and their legislation took away benefits that vulnerable people need.

— Republicans keep trying to cut funding for international programs that help women, children, fetuses, public health, and the environment. 

For these and many other reasons, decent people must expose and denounce Republican Party hypocrisy.  They are NOT “pro-life.”  They are pro-greed, and they are waging class war against poor people, the working class, and the middle class.  Republicans’ class war kills people including the unborn.

Much of the Republicans’ intention is to disempower women.    When women are disempowered, fetuses are hurt too.

Decent people must expose and denounce Republicans’ hypocrisy.  Their continuous behavior shows they are NOT “pro-life.”
