If Democrats nominate Biden or another neoliberal “centrist,” Trump could win in 2020.

Voters in 2016 were angry at the status quo, and they wanted Bernie Sanders, but the institutional Democratic Party manipulated things in order to cram Hillary Clinton down our throats instead.  Hillary thought the status quo was OK with just a little tinkering around the edges, and her “centrism” failed to inspire voters.  Voters voted for a radical non-politician named Trump and hoped for the best.

Now the institutional Democratic Party is repeating their same mistake by opposing the true progressives (Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren) and trying to push Joe Biden or another “centrist” down our throats.

2020 will be a repeat of 2016 if the Democratic Party nominates Biden or another “centrist.’  Voters will not stand for that abuse again.

Turnout is crucial but Biden and “centrists” will NOT inspire large voter turnout that is necessary to stop Trump. Young people, poor people, minorities, new and infrequent voters will NOT be inspired to vote for a “centrist” who fails to recognize and strongly support these voters’ interests and needs.

Also, Republicans in many states are doing everything possible to “suppress” voting by minorities, poor people, young people, and other persons who are likely to vote for Democrats.

This article — https://www.commondreams.org/views/2019/09/19/here-we-go-again-neoliberal-centrists-are-anointing-one-their-own-and-it-could-cost?cd-origin=rss&utm_term=AO&utm_campaign=Daily%20Newsletter&utm_content=email&utm_source=Daily%20Newsletter&utm_medium=Email — begins by pointing out that the mainstream media are “in” on “the fix.”

This article says, “the oligarchy seems willing to risk another Trump victory to get one of their own elected.”

A later paragraph says, “Trump had help from centrist neoliberals who fought to keep the Democratic Party in the center—to reject progressive values and positions that poll after poll shows majority of Americans support.”

And, “And incredibly, the centrists and their media allies are at it again. Pundits, columnists, commentators are nearly united in their warnings about drifting too far to the left (where the people are, by the way).”

GRASSROOTS PEOPLE NEED TO ORGANIZE FOR SERIOUS CHANGES.  Electing a good president is part of what we need, but we need to do much more grassroots organizing on the issues we care about.
