I’ll send you info about that today, but right now you can SIGN UP FOR TONIGHT’S “ACTION HOUR” on Zoom so you can take quick actions to protect the election and stop Trump’s coup.

Here is information I edited from an organizer of TONIGHT’S “ACTION HOUR” on Zoom:

Tonight’s “ACTION HOUR” will occur TONIGHT (Sun. Oct. 18) at 7:00 pm Pacific Time.

More and more people are deeply concerned that Trump is planning a coup or other unconstitutional power grab related to the Nov. 3 election.  People are planning “preventive medicine” to protect the Constitution and a free and fair election.  People are planning to protect these and to prepare for effective nonviolent opposition in case a coup or power grab is attempted.

Tonight’s “ACTION HOUR” will help people who are already concerned, so it will not take time explaining the problem.  Tonight’s opportunity will connect with resources from existing groups working on this issue, such as the Protect the Results network (www.protecttheresults.com) and Choose Democracy (www.ChooseDemocracy.US).

Tonight’s “ACTION HOUR” is a practical opportunity to take action with other concerned persons.  During this hour we’ll send emails, sign petitions, make calls, etc.  By taking this one hour of practical actions along with other people, you can actually take these actions in real time instead of setting them aside and never getting around to doing them.  Many people find that the accountability and community of doing these actions in real time with others helps them to get them done.  This makes it more fun too.  Local groups in Olympia and elsewhere have found that this really works!

All you have to do is show up and use the organizers’ pre-prepared phone numbers, emails, scripts, and links with clear instructions on how to take action.  Also, you can share this information through your own networks and engage your colleagues and others to take these actions on their own time.  You can opt out of any activity you don’t want to do.

Please feel free to share this invitation and the Facebook event page with your networks: https://www.facebook.com/events/1591531777720435/?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22surface%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22create_dialog%22%7D]%7D
