FRI JAN 22: Street-corner vigiling supports the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons goes into effect on FRIDAY JANUARY 22.

Huge international support exists — especially throughout the global South.

None of the nine nations with nuclear weapons supported this treaty when the United Nations General Assembly adopted it overwhelmingly (122 nations!) in July 2017.  The Trump administration vigorously and maliciously opposed it.

Now that enough nations have ratified the Treaty, it will go into effect on January 22, 2021.

Please see this flyer, which provides information and invites you to help publicize this historically powerful event in whatever local community you might live in:

At local intersections small groups will hold signs supporting the treaty prohibiting nuclear weapons

Please distribute the flyer in whatever ways you can.

The graphic image looks good through a black-and-white printer, so no need to waste money on color.

Urge Joe Biden and our U.S. Senators to support the Treaty!
