Fact Sheet: 2017 U.N. Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
In 2017 the United Nations General Assembly OVERWHELMINGLY PASSED an international treaty to prohibit nuclear weapons. Now about two dozen nations have ratified it, and we must encourage more to ratify it. It will go into effect when FIFTY nations have ratified it. The U.S. and the 8 other nuclear nations opposed it, of course, and the rest of the world is angry with us for our arrogance. Read this fact sheet about the U.N. treaty, and do everything you can to support its ratification by the U.S. and other nations: eng_-_factsheet_-_2017_treaty_on_the_prohibition_of_nuclear_weapons(1)
